What is Thoracic Outlet Syndrome?
TOS occurs when nerves or blood vessels in the upper chest (thoracic outlet) become compressed. This compression can cause a variety of symptoms, including:
- Pain: Aching, burning, or sharp pain in the neck, shoulder, arm, or hand
- Numbness: Tingling or loss of sensation in the affected area
- Weakness: Difficulty gripping or lifting objects
- Headaches: Frequent headaches, particularly behind the eyes
